Verlaine is a pension where you can enjoy sports all year round.
There are 7 private tennis courts in front of you. Within walking distance are the town-run omni court, ice arena, skating rink, curling hall, gymnasium, field, futsal court, etc.
It is popular for training camps in various sports circles.
For your meal, you can choose a hearty steak course or an optional barbecue.
The owner loves motorcycles. You are also welcome to use it for touring!

A stay without meals style where you can enjoy your holiday in Karuizawa freely.
Please make your own bed. A simple stay where towels, toothbrushes, and nightwear (yukata) are charged separately. Enjoy shopping and activities with the money you save.

The guest room does not have a bath, toilet, or sink. The bath is reserved for private use with a key, and you can use it at any time you like from 16:00 to 9:00 the next morning. *There is no TV in the building.

It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to popular Hoshino areas such as Harunire Terrace, Karuizawa Kogen Church, and Tombo no Yu. It's a luxury to take a walk before breakfast.
After checking out, you can leave your luggage with us, so you can take your time the next day.

If you open a map of Karuizawa, it's right in the middle and has great access to anywhere. After having lots of fun, refresh yourself in the artificial hot spring jet bath that is available 24 hours a day. For dinner, you'll be satisfied with the owner's proud European-style home cooking. The owner and mom who love sports are waiting for you. In winter, I often go out to watch ice hockey and curling games. My youngest daughter's husband is a former player for the Nikko Ice Bucks and is currently the captain of the Nagano Prefecture National Athletic Meet team.

Keraike skating rink

This is a skating rink in the forest made with Karuizawa's natural water.

The price includes rental shoes, and knitted hats and helmets are available for free rental, so you can drop by without any preparation. There are also nice cafes around the pond. During the business period, on Fridays and Saturdays, December 25th, 29th, 30th, 31st, January 1st, 2nd, and 8th, you can skate under the illuminations after sunset. There is ``Hoshino Onsen Tombo no Yu'' right next door, so warm up your cold body from the core with the free-flowing hot spring water.

The name "Piccolo Hotel Opera Karuizawa" is inspired by music. Musical instruments such as cellos and grand pianos can be found throughout the hotel.
