Karuizawa/Sengataki is a refreshing place with an abundance of greenery that only those in the know know. Here, we highly recommend waking up early in the morning and taking a walk to Sengataki (a simple 20m waterfall). The pension is along R146. A cozy inn run by a couple from Osaka near Harunire Terrace, Tombo no Yu, and Sengataki Onsen. The Japanese-Western eclectic cuisine with Kansai flavors and homemade bread and jam are also delicious.
