About accommodation tax

Karuizawa Town will introduce a lodging tax starting in June 2026.

 
From June 1, 2026, a lodging tax will be charged separately in accordance with Nagano Prefecture and Karuizawa Town ordinances.  The accommodation tax is as follows per person
per night:  
Accommodation fee for stays between 6,000 yen and 10,000 yen: 200 yen Accommodation fee for stays between 10,000 yen and 100,000 yen: 250 yen Accommodation fee for stays of
100,000 yen or more: 700 yen For more details, please see the Karuizawa Town website.
